We welcome beginners of all ages (10+) every Sunday afternoon. Adults are also welcome. Give something new and fun a go! Please email us so we can inform you of the the details.
In May 2025 we will run a four-week introduction course which provides a structured way to learn the basics, starting from snorkelling underwater, hockey skills, team positions and game play.
One of our players is living in Berri in the Riverland and is trying to get hockey started there. It's hard to arrange pool access. We'd love to hear from you if you are interested.
Friday nights are fast and fun. Due to the lateness of the hour, this session attracts only the most enthusiastic players. We usually have 10-12 players but that just means no subs and more game time! It's a scratch match, so two even teams are created from whoever turns up. You must let us know if you are coming because sometimes it is cancelled if we don't get a minimum number.
Sunday Beginner Sessions are for anyone to come and try underwater hockey and also for developing players to improve their skills. The session usually starts with some basic skills and then we play a slow game with help from a couple of experienced players assisting the beginners. Beginners must complete a Come & Try Registration form before they come. You'll find it on the Introduction page on our website (click below)
Sunday night is our full-on competition night for experienced players. Developing players may be invited to play but warning - there's no mercy! Formal teams are set at the beginning of the season to ensure a well-balanced competition. This is the only underwater hockey competition in the Greater Adelaide area. Starting at 4.45 pm, there are 4 games in a row, for experienced players only. Experienced visitors are always welcome!
Here is the calendar of events for the next month. Click "More Events" below to see more dates. To find out about events further out, contact us directly.
While the Adelaide Aquatic Centre is being rebuilt, we are relocating games and trainings to The Parks Recreation and Sports Centre in Angle Park. The pool is shallower than the Adelaide Aquatic Centre and the pool availabilty is limited.
Pool entry fees are paid to us on top of the club fees outlined on our website under costs
