HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Get started for free!

It doesn't cost much to get started. If you have your own snorkel, mask and fins you can get give the world's most exceptional sport a go, literally for free.

BEGINNERS!! We love to see beginners to come and try. If you come to our Come & Try sessions, your first visit is free. We can even rummage up a spare mask, snorkel and fins for you to borrow if you don't have them already.

Otherwise here is a summary of the costs of playing with SA UWH:

Club Fees

Each player pays a fee to the club for each session. These fees are collected by a club member at the session, usually in cash. You can also pay by electronic bank transfer.

$18 per person for adults over 18 years

$15 per person for students 18+years

$10 per person for junior players under 18 years

**FOR ALL NEW PLAYERS, THE FIRST 3 x SESSIONS ARE FREE!!! :)

Pool Entry Fees

Pool entry fees apply.  However at the Parks we need to pay these in bulk to the pool so these are included in the above Club Fees.

Underwater Federation Fees

There is an annual fee for membership to the Australian Underwater Federation (AUF), paid directly to the AUF. This covers affiliation with the state association and insurance.  Below pricing is indicative only.  Visit AUF website for latest information.

$95 per person for adults over 18 years

$50 per person for juniors under 18 years

Family memberships may be cheaper

** FOR BEGINNERS: you can come and try UWH without paying this fee. Once you become a regular attendee we strongly recommend you join the AUF.

Underwater Hockey Gear

How long is a piece of string?! Like all sports, you can spend lots on getting all the high performance gear if you want to. But we have spare gear for beginners to use, for free.  But around $135 will get you the basics. See our page on gear.
